20t European Hoist for a Canadian Heavy Repair Facility

Export Destination: Calgary, Canada
Quantity: 6 Sets (including independent control systems and accessories)

Project Overview

A major industrial equipment repair and remanufacturing company in Calgary, Canada, sought to upgrade the heavy-component disassembly stations in its core workshop. The existing hoisting equipment was outdated, inefficient, and posed safety concerns. In 2025, after a global sourcing evaluation, the client selected and procured 6 sets of 20t Double Girder European-style Electric Hoists from our factory to modernize their existing overhead crane girders. All units were delivered and commissioned with remote guidance in Q4 2025.

Client Requirements

1.Stand-alone Application: The hoists needed to function as independent lifting units, compatible with and capable of replacing the old hoists on the client’s existing crane girders.

2.Stringent Certification: Must comply with Canadian CSA and relevant North American NRTL (e.g., UL) safety standards.

3.Precise Control: Required for handling heavy, precision components (e.g., large engines, gearboxes) in confined spaces, demanding smooth lifting, accurate positioning, and micro-speed functionality.

4.Easy Maintenance: Modular design for quick installation and future maintenance within the client’s facility.

5.Remote Support: Supplier to provide comprehensive installation documentation and prompt remote technical support.

Our Solutions

1.Customized Adaptation Kits: Provided proprietary end truck connection kits and electrical interface adaptation solutions tailored to the client’s existing I-beam rails and connection points, ensuring a “plug-and-play” installation.

2.High-Spec Configuration: Supplied hoists configured for the North American market, featuring two-speed/VFD control systems, 10-meter anti-twist cables, and IP54 protection rating suitable for workshop environments.

3.Enhanced Safety & Precision: Standard inclusion of overload protection, dual upper/lower limit switches, with optional weight display and anti-sway features to meet high-precision requirements.

4.Digital Documentation & Support: Delivered a full set of English 3D installation drawings, digital manuals, and wiring videos. Assigned engineers to provide key-stage guidance via video conference for installation and commissioning.

Client Feedback

“We had initial concerns about compatibility and support sourcing a core component overseas. However, the design of these hoists proved highly professional, and the adaptation kits fit our old cranes perfectly. Their exceptional low-speed stability and reliability have transformed our heavy-duty repair operations. The supplier’s professional preparation and responsiveness far exceeded our expectations.”

Project Outcomes

Successful Modernization: Six outdated cranes were upgraded to modern performance standards by retrofitting our hoists, avoiding the high cost of complete crane replacement.

Dual Improvement in Efficiency & Safety: Positioning time for heavy repair tasks reduced by approximately 35%, with significantly enhanced operational safety and zero unplanned downtime.

Certification Achieved: Equipment successfully passed third-party safety inspections commissioned by the client, obtaining workshop operational permits.

Ongoing Partnership: Based on this success, the client has listed us as a preferred spare parts supplier and is discussing plans for upgrading other workshops.
