Advantages
Manufactured from 55SiMn, 42CrMo, or equivalent alloy steel grades achieving tensile strength typically between 800–1,100 MPa. Raw material mill certificates are provided with every order for full traceability.
Controlled quenching and tempering produces tread surface hardness of HB 300–380 while maintaining a tough, ductile core — reducing spalling, flaking, and premature fatigue cracking under cyclic wheel loads.
Tread diameter, flange profile, and bore concentricity are machined to IT6–IT7 tolerances, ensuring correct rail contact geometry and minimizing vibration in high-speed crane-on-wheels applications.
Standard production wheels cover approximately 5 to 500 tonnes per wheel depending on diameter and material grade. Custom engineering is available for ultra-heavy-lift applications.
Each batch includes dimensional inspection reports and hardness test records. Ultrasonic testing (UT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) available where specified. Third-party inspection by BV, SGS, or TÜV can be arranged.
